i find it perfectly alright if gays wish to be married, because its technically not of my buisness. Its none of ANYONES buisness except the two who are getting married. These religious fools need to keep their belifes and thoughts to themselves and stop forcing them down everyone elses throats. Being in love with someone of the same sex is not an illness, its not a disease, its a person being who they are. If being who you are is such an issue, then everyone who has ever remotely bothered to be unique in any way, shape, or form on this racist planet is screwed. Kicker is, that includes every single person who is against gay marrige, whether they like it or not.
This is my reply to him. BTW, sorry if this sounds preachy. It's not meant to preach, it's just to state facts/opinions:
Now, I would like to educate the uneducated here. Sorry if that sounded snobbish.
The people that call themselves Christians that go around preaching on street corners that being homosexual is an illness or a disease, are what I like to call "complete jackasses".
God has told us that being homosexual is wrong, and that those who practice it are sinners. This is true. BUT. Jesus came to die for our sins, and that includes homosexuality. But again, there's a "but" in there.
While, according to the Christian faith, it's a sin to practice homosexuality and that Jesus can forgive that sin, we have absolutely NO right whatsoever to go shoving our point of view down the throats of others.
The thing with the Christian faith is that it's all a matter of choice. A person should choose for themselves whether or not to follow the Christian beliefs. This includes sexual orientation.
Trust me when I say, not ALL Christians are crusaders going on an inquisition. There are extremists in EVERY group, with NO exceptions. The ones that you see trying to shove their beliefs down the throats of others are typically the older generation, usually about 30-40 years of age and older. These people are just stuck in tradition, and completely forget one of Jesus' teachings: "Love thy neighbor".
Jesus loves everybody, no matter what their mindset is. And seeing as Jesus is God, that holds true for Him too.
So, I hold true to my opinion on homosexuality: If you wanna be a gay couple, that's fine by me. It's really none of my business anyway. If you decide to change later on, more power to ya.
Again, sorry if that sounded preachy. I just wanted to educate. That's all. Good day.
